This is part one of my Jeonju adventure. I started my day bright and early at 5AM, just in time for the trains to open. Thanks to the ever-thoughtful Mrs. Kim, who booked my tickets ahead of time, my trip was completely hassle free. I love you so much, Mrs. Kim.

Getting to the Shinsegae Central City bus terminal was a little challenging at first since I was in a hurry not to be late. But luckily, I arrived with plenty of time to spare. That meant I could look around and even pick up a sweet treat, donuts for my “babies,” as a little gift to make them smile.

These “babies” are actually not so little anymore. They used to be my students until they grew into amazing teenagers. Kelly, one of them, welcomed me warmly into their humble home. Meeting them again after so many years was such a heartwarming experience. Even though we have stayed connected online and even when they were living in the USA, nothing compares to seeing each other in person.

We bought fresh fruits perfect for the cool weather and I was amazed at how affordable and delicious the strawberries and pears were.

Here are a few snapshots from my journey to Jeonju. Thank you, Kelly, for the ride and for making this reunion such a happy and unforgettable one.
