Woljeongyo

A Magical Night at Woljeonggyo Bridge & Gyochon Hanok Village, Gyeongju 🇰🇷

My trip to Gyeongju wouldn’t be complete without visiting the timeless beauty of Gyochon Hanok Village and the majestic Woljeonggyo Bridge. I had been dreaming of experiencing Korea’s traditional charm up close, and even though Oppa was hesitant because I kept complaining about the cold night air, I insisted we go.

Wrapped in layers (though I completely forgot my thermal wear—major regret!), we braved the freezing night and headed out. It was seriously cold—like-toes-turning-numb cold—so we snapped a few photos as fast as we could before running back to the car. Still, I was so happy we went. Seeing Woljeonggyo Bridge illuminated at night was so romantic. The gentle lights reflecting off the river made it feel like a scene from a historical K-drama.

Despite the chill, I was amazed by how well-preserved the entire area was. Gyochon Hanok Village was just as beautiful, with its traditional houses and peaceful surroundings that gave me a real glimpse into Korea’s rich past.

The next morning made up for the cold tenfold. We had the best traditional Korean breakfast ever—warm, comforting, and absolutely unforgettable. The flavors were deep, rich, and perfect for our slight hangover. 😂 Oppa and I have always enjoyed our soju nights ever since our days back in Cebu, and this breakfast was the perfect cure.

Oppa has been treating me like a princess since 2015, and this trip was another beautiful memory to add to our story. 💖 Thank you, Oppa, for always making my heart full—and my tummy too!

Gyeongju, you were cold, but magical. Until next time.
