Be Resort

A Tropical Hideaway I Keep Coming Back To

There’s a special charm to places you keep revisiting. Be Resort in Mactan is exactly that for me—a familiar favorite that never fails to bring back good memories, and always offers something new to love.

This isn’t my first visit (honestly, I’ve lost count!), but it’s the first time I’m finally sitting down to write about it. I remember how the resort took quite a hit from the devastating typhoon that swept through Cebu a few years ago. It was a tough time for many, and Be Resort was no exception. Like many coastal properties, they had to close for repairs and eventually, due to the pandemic. But now—they’re back, and beautifully so.

Last-Minute Booking,

This time around, we booked a spontaneous island hopping tour, and as our day wrapped up, we decided last minute to book a room at Be Resort. Thankfully, we managed to score a good one—a cozy space with a full beach view. The room felt fresh and modern, just the kind of comfort we needed after a long day under the sun.

Night Swims & Morning Bliss

One of the highlights of our stay was the night swimming. There’s something magical about floating in a softly lit pool with the ocean breeze around you. It’s peaceful, romantic, and honestly, the kind of scene you’d want to bottle up and take home.

Come morning, we were treated to a good breakfast buffet. While the quality was satisfying, I do wish there were more choices—especially local delicacies or a bit more variety for guests staying longer. Still, what they had was fresh, flavorful, and a perfect way to start the day.

Interiors that Sing “Tropical Escape”

If there’s one thing Be Resort gets right, it’s the interior design. I absolutely love the playful yet sophisticated tropical vibe. The use of vivid coastal colors—turquoise, coral, white, and sandy beige—gives every corner of the resort a fresh, lively feel. It’s modern yet rooted in island charm, and it truly adds to the experience.

Every time I stay at Be Resort, it feels like a little escape—whether for a quick weekend or a longer breather. It has the basics done right: comfort, cleanliness, good food, and a beautiful beachfront. But it also offers that extra something—a feeling of being in a place that celebrates Cebu’s beauty in every detail.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Thank you, Be Resort, for always welcoming me back with open arms and colorful spaces. Till next time!
