My Most Special Trip: A Walk to Café & Nubiworkshop in Gyeongju

One of the most unforgettable chapters of my Korea journey was finally visiting Gyeongju — my Oppa’s hometown.

This place had been on my dream list for so long. Tucked away in the southeast of Korea, far from the bustling streets of Seoul, Gyeongju feels like stepping into a living museum. And to make it even more special, I got to explore it with someone dear to me.

As soon as I arrived, Oppa took my hand and said, “Let’s walk.” What followed was a slow, beautiful stroll through streets lined with traditional Hanok houses, each one whispering stories from centuries ago. The air was cool, the roads were quiet, and every corner seemed to invite a moment of pause.

Our destination? A hidden gem called Café & Nubiworkshop — a place I’ll never forget.

At first glance, I thought we had arrived at someone’s cozy home. The wooden structure, the warm earth tones, and the small garden made it feel incredibly personal and peaceful. But as we stepped closer, I realized — it was a café. And not just any café. It was the café I’ve always dreamed of owning one day.

Everything about Café & Nubiworkshop felt aesthetic, calming, and sincere. The interiors were a perfect mix of vintage Korean elements and minimalist charm. Every little detail was photo-worthy — from the sunlit windows to the handwoven fabrics displayed around the space.

The bread was homemade, soft and comforting — the kind that warms not just your belly but your heart. And the coffee… oh, the coffee. It had such a rich, deep flavor, unlike any I’ve tried before. We sipped slowly, savoring each drop and moment.

There was no rush, no noise — just peace. And laughter. And that feeling of being somewhere you know you’ll always want to come back to.

If you ever find yourself in Gyeongju, please visit Café & Nubiworkshop. You’ll find more than just good food and coffee — you’ll find warmth, inspiration, and maybe a little bit of yourself in the quiet beauty of it all.

Oppa, if you’re reading this…
Thank you for bringing me here.
I would love to visit this place again — with you.
I miss you so much.

Enjoy the photos I took during our walk and our coffee date.
I hope they capture even just a bit of the magic I felt that day.
